Imperial Prince Arisugawanomiya Yorihito (有栖川宮職仁親王)

Imperial Prince Arisugawanomiya Yorihito (October 28, 1713 - November 19, 1769) was a member of the Imperial family during the Edo period. The fifth family head of the Arisugawanomiya family.

His Empress was Yoshitada NIJO's daughter. His child was Imperial Prince Arisugawanomiya Orihito. He succeeded to the family after the forth family head of the Arisugawanomiya, Imperial Prince Arisugawanomiya Tadahito died without having any children in 1716. He received title to become Imperial Prince in 1726. He established what was called the Arisugawa school of calligraphy.

He had deep knowledge of waka poems and calligraphy, he taught the art of tanka poetry to people such as Emperor Gosakuramachi.
