Sonkan (尊観)

Sonkan (1349 - November 19, 1400) was a priest of the Ji sect during the period of the Northern and Southern Courts (Japan). His father was Emperor Kameyama's Prince, Imperial Prince Tokiwainomiya Tsuneaki.

Career
1360: He entered into priesthood and lived in the Kamakura Shojoko-ji Temple.

1369: He became chief priest of Hyogo Shinko-ji Temple in Settsu Province.

1377: He became chief priest of Yamagata Komyo-ji Temple in Dewa Province.

1385: He became chief priest of Fuchu Ichiren-ji Temple in Kai Province.

1387: He succeeded to become the 12th chief priest of Yugyo-ji Temple in Sagami Province.
