The case of the murder of a Shichijo Police constable is a homicide that occurred on June 9, 1946 in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.

Outline of the incident
A constable from the Shichijo Police station, who was making his rounds in the early hours of June 9, 1946, saw five suspicious people, and when he tried to question them, was shot by one of them.

The constable blew his police whistle and ran after them, but soon collapsed to the ground as he had been shot in his left chest. After giving descriptions of the suspects to a police officer who ran to the scene, he was immediately taken to a hospital in an ambulance for the occupation forces but died at 3:05 that morning.

Kyoto Police immediately began a search and arrested five Koreans.
