Fujiwara no Tadanushi (藤原縄主)

FUJIWARA no Tadanushi (760 - November 2, 817) was a government official who lived during the early Heian period. His father was FUJIWARA no Kurajimaro. His mother was a daughter of AWATA no Umagai. His wife was FUJIWARA no Kusuko.

After being appointed to Konoe no shosho (Minor Captain of the Palace Guards) of Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade) in 783, he was appointed to Chue no shosho (Minor Captain of the Imperial Guard), Shonagon (lesser councilor of state), Shikibu no taifu (Senior Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Ceremonial), Sakyo no daibu (Master of the Eastern Capital Offices), and Dazai no sochi (Governor-General of the Dazai-fu offices), and finally, he was appointed to Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank) in 806 and Chunagon (vice-councilor of state) in 812. In 824, he was raised to Junii (Junior Second Rank) after his death.
