Takatsukasa Mototeru (鷹司基輝)

Mototeru TAKATSUKASA (April 19, 1727 – July 6, 1743) was a court noble of the middle of the Edo period. He served as Junii Naidaijin (minister of the center at junior second rank).

He was a son of Kaneka ICHIJO but was adopted by Fusahiro TAKATSUKASA and inherited the Takatsukasa family, however, he died suddenly at the age of only 17. For preventing the extinction, the Takatsukasa family adopted Atsunomiya, the fourth Prince of Imperial Prince Kaninnomiya Naohito; Atsunomiya called himself Sukehira TAKATSUKASA and inherited the Takatsukasa family.
