Araga-Kashinokidai Station (荒河かしの木台駅)
It is an unmanned station with two opposing platforms and two tracks running in between. There is no station building, and the elevated platform is reached by means of a stairway. There is a waiting room on the platform.
South of the station is a train depot (Fukuchiyama operation area) at which certain trains terminate (no setup at time of revision in March 2007). The JR Sanin Main Line runs parallel from Fukuchiyama Station past this facility, but there is no stop here on the Sanin Main line.
A new residential area called Kashinokidai is located west of the station.
The average daily number of passengers boarding at this station in fiscal year 2006 was 27.
(According to the Kyoto Prefecture Statistics Report)
Despite the existence of a new residential area near the station, very few people use this facility.
July 16, 1988: The station opened as a station on the Miyafuku Line of Miyafuku Railway (now Kitakinki Tango Railways).
