Kuhon-ji Temple (Gose City) (九品寺 (御所市))

Kuhon-ji Temple is a temple of the Jodo sect located in Narahara, Gose City, Nara Prefecture. Its sango (honorific mountain prefix) is Kainasan. The principal image is Amida Nyorai.

History
The year of the foundation of the temple is unknown, however, it is said to have been founded by Gyoki, a priest of the Nara Period. In the Medieval Period, it was the family temple of the lord of Gose Castle, of the Narahara clan. During 1558-1570, it was converted to the current Jodo sect by Kanyo Guzei.
